If you love being outdoors, around plants or even wanting to start your own business; try a different, fun, and challenging opportunity to learn about agriculture, environment, and business entrepreneurship. In addition, you can receive up to three science credits and one elective credit. The AEST program is divided up into four classes over two years. In the first year, Concepts of Agriscience Technology and Plant Science is offered. In the second year, Environmental Science and Agribusiness and Entrepreneurship is offered. We run a greenhouse business and have a garden, landscaping around the community, work with local environmental officials such as game wardens, and we have a blast at whatever we are doing. In addition we participate in FFA at the local, state, and national levels; so that means lots of traveling. Now, a great thing about this program is if you have had biology, then you can skip the first year program and come to the second year classes of Environmental Science and Agribusiness and Entrepreneurship. 9th graders are welcome to attend the first year program in AEST.
